radiator flush?

I got some new acdeco plugs, wires, cap, rotor on and wanted to flush the radiator while I was at it but this round thing with grouves in it that has to be the drain plug but I have no clue how to loosen/ open it.
Any insight will be very helpful. Thanks

Yeah, pictures would help. The drain for the radiator is on the lower driver side corner. On mine it's not round. It's a regular radiator drain. Just turn it counter clockwise and it opens.

First make sure the presureis released from the radiator, then you might have to use a cresent wrench or pliaers to turn it.

That is the plug right? Ive tried putting sockets to see if anything inside turns....nothing. Never had such an issue with a simple job before.

That looks like it but i can't see the piece you twist and pull out on. It could have broken off you'll have very or no luck removing it with the radiator in the truck. However you may be able to pickup a new piece at the autopart store or junkyard..

That second picture looks like the drain, but like 4X4GS10B said, it looks like something is missing. I'll look at mine tomorrow and compare it to yours. Does look like something is broke off, though.

Thanks. I cant tell if there is or isnt anything missing, ive never seen one like this.

When I get home tonight, I'll take some pictures of mine so you can compare the two.
