Raising front end

I installed an extra leaf spring to each side of the rear of my 95 due to the heavy cargo I carry, It raised the rear about 2 inches with it loaded, is it possible to raise the front end with the torsions bars, I only want to go about 1 inch in front?

RE: Raising front end

Yes, the TB's can do that. Raising it an inch should not put you into the danger zone on component wear, but I don't think going over that would be a good idea.

Thanks, I just replaced the front end so I think it would be a good time to do it.

RE: Raising front end

I raised it 1 1/2" to sit even with the rear, it handles good and sits just a little higher than stock, I used "add a leaf" in the rear for $65 bucks and installed it in about an hour in the drivewaywith two small jacks, 1 on the frame and 1 on the dif., it isway better hauling a load now! Thanks!
