Rear door help needed desperately
Can somebody help me with getting my rear door to open?I have tryed everything to noavail and only have a big failure in doing so.The button on the back broke off.Is there way to get inside the locking mechanism in anyway shape or form so this thing will unlatch and pop open.I drill bit isnt long enough to get in there and tryed beating it out with a chisel and punch.I`ll probaly have to replace the back door in the future but for now I just want the darn thing open.Help please!

Tailgate or liftgate?
With the tailgate version (I'm assuming the button on the dash doesn't work right?) if you pull the top part of the carpet down just a little where it meets the plastic there is a little blue tab that if you push to the right I think it will open the door. I have pics in my old build thread somewhere. I'll see if I can find you what post.
Hmm, apparently not in my build. But you should be able to find some pics of it with a search on here. It's been covered multiple times.

Have you checked out this thread?

If you have the glass up, tailgate down style, you can carefully pry back the trim above the latch, and slide an object (screwdriver, coat hanger, etc) in and manipulate the latch. Be careful, I cracked my trim doing this, but it didn't really bother me.
What happens is the actuator that opens the glass becomes separated from the arm that it pulls on to operate the latch. It's just a cheap plastic clip holding them together. I drilled a small hole in the arm and used some wire to attach them. It's held up for about 18 months now, without a problem.
