i found i have a leak coming from the rear main seal, oil gasket. It's going to cost be about 600.00 to have the job done. My Qs: should i have this done right away or can i wait a money or two to earn the cash( if i wait what problem can occur)?

Default RE: Rear main seal, oil gasket

It depends on if it is actually a rear main seal leak or just loose oil pan bolts.

I had what seemed like a rear main seal leak that turned out to be a few loose oil pan bolts.

From your other post, I understand that you do not know much about automobiles. I would find someone that does and have them look over what we suggest with your help. It not only ensures that you don't get taken advantage of and you learn about your truck at the same time!
