Rear wheel shudder when pulling into parking spot
I have a 2004 that after driving 10 to 15 miles and pulling into a parking spot or my driveway, I feel the rear wheels shudder and engine acts like it wants to die. Any ideas?

does the truck choke out when you're braking? is the booster wet around the master cylinder?
|
The booster around the master cylinder is dry. Driving down the road or coming to a stop at a light or stop sign, I never see the problem, only when turning into a parking spot or backing out. Very confusing

Does your truck have the G80 code on the sticker in the glove box?

Also check the rear end oil and see if it looks like peanut butter, if so you got water contamination that is tearing it up.

Ditto to both Blazin00LT & Diaita...But I remember using an additive in my 91 Suburban which had the so-called posi and that alleviated any axle shudder-pop the cover, change the grease and throw in a little bottle of that.

No G80 code in glove box. I'll take a look at the Gov-Loc.
Thanks |
The G80 is the code for the Gov-Loc rear differential. Try jacking up the rear axle under the differential and see if the tires spin independently of one another to see if your differential is working. The rear wheels should spin opposite directions. Oh, and don't forget to block the front wheels so the vehicle won't roll.
