Default Rear Window Problem

Hey guys, im brand new to blazers, i just bought one yesterday, its an 02 LS, and im having a little bit of trouble with the back window. when i was at the dealership, i was able to open it, but it took a little bit for the button on the hatch to get it open, so i didnt know if it was frozen because weve had very cold snowy weather here lately, or if its broke. I was able to open the window, but now i cant get it to latch shut, and the "gate ajar" light on the dash is continuously on. So what im really asking is if theres a trick or something to closing them or if the latch is bad or frozen

Check to see if the button under the window on the outside is still pushed in. Mine is but it not fully so my latch still closes. But now I just cant get it open grrrr.

Mine does the same thing! I always go to the back to get the snow brush and end up with that annoying button-stick.

Just fixed 'er! Grab a blow torch, heater up while also playing with the button now and again till she pops out, get some WD-40 in there and try stick to using the interior or key fob button.

I was so happy I could grab my cooler outta there!

sounds like you need to re-align the latch & striker.

use some of that "3 in 1" Silicone spray (yellow spray can). works waaaaaaaay better than WD40 for displacing any water and lubricates longer, door locks work better than new!

Glad you got 'er open! I love the rear liftgate on mine. It's a nice feature when the glass won't pop open, but if the button is frozen, chances are the liftgate is too. So it goes.

Blow Torch --- Yikes

I would vote for a hair dryer or a heat gun on low.
x2 on some lube and adjusting the latch.

Yea I would have used that but I was outside and no close outlets to plug into.

I just kept the flame low and about 6 inches away and kept it moving.
