Remote start problems
So.. I had a garage in a downtown area install a remote start on my 99 Blazer for 200 dollars...
The garage installed an Avital remote start and keyless entry kit just before Christmas. I've had security issues since, including solid SECURITY lights while driving, and no start conditions even though the motor would run for a second or two. The condition would go away if I left the key in the ON position, those familiar will know what I'm talking about.
Anyhow, I'm wondering if asking the garage to remove the system is my best route. I've had them look at the problem once already, and it seems that they don't have a clue...
I'm sick of no-start conditions... this is the opposite of my intentions when having this remote starter installed.
There is the by-pass module option, which would eliminate any future security system issues...
I worry what damage might be done, EVEN if I have the garage, that installed it, remove it.
Anyone have more knowledge on this kind of matter???
