Id there a way to retrieve codes without a scan tool like you can on Jeeps?

Not powertrain codes. You can retrieve the transfer case codes if you have the NV233 transfer case, but not the codes from the PCM.

Guess I need to get hold of a scanner then


The Jeep key trick saved me a bunch of troubleshooting time and effort

Get a GOOD code reader. ($150 bucks is what I spent) I strongly suggest one that can provide live data streams. You can see what the ECM is seeing in real time. I bet your Jeep couldnt do that!

Dont worry, My jeeps couldnt either. (87, 93 and 2005 wranglers)

Yeah, for weekend mechanics like me Chrysler's "key dance" feature is quite useful and has saved me a lot of money. I never understood why other car makers don't have this.

Yea, your right about the key dance. It was handy but it just leaves me wanting so much more! LOL!
