Reverse Lights Don't Light

Reverse Lights Don't Light
My reverse lights will not light. I checked the bulbs, fuses etc.[:'(]
I think it might be the reverse switch but I dont even know where it is to begin checking.
I have a 5 speed, 2004, 2-door. I am guessing here but, I thought the switch may be in the middle console by the shifter.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

RE: Reverse Lights Don't Light
It is located on the driver side of the transmission case. It will have a two pronged electrical connection. The wire colors for a 2000 Blazer are pink and gray.
Again, for a 2000, there are two fuses that affect the Backup lamp operation. B/U LP feeds +12V to the backup lamp switch in the transmission (or the park/neutral/backup switch in the case of an automatic). From there, it feeds to two other fuses. VEH B/U is the fuse that then powers the backup lamps in the taillight housings. TRL B/U powers the trailer backup lights if so equipped.
I list what it is for a 2000 because that is the only reference material I have with me at the moment...
