Default Rpm's freaking out? Need help.

So I have a problem. Basically, when i'm going over 65, 70 mph or just over 2k rpm, the needle will jump to 4 and back to 2, just go crazy. And if I go faster(about 80) The needle would jump even higher between 2.5 and let's say 5. And the car will jerk like it's trying to shift gears but can't. Here's a vid of the rpm's. Thanks!

My first thought is air leak. Usually if it's a bad one will cause it to lope and surge at idle.

First thing.. you're making a demo video shut off the @#%$!@@# music. We MIGHT have been able to hear some other things going on.

Second, is that just the needle flaking or is your engine speed matching that? \
- I understand maybe you cant tell, what with the racket.
The point is that with that symptom, it's possible the engine was bogging down at same time needle jumped up. If so that would ignition. If engine speed increasing, is a problem in your trans

Third... Looks like SES lite is on? If that's true go get the codes read.

That is not a vacuum leak. Get the codes read.

It doesn't surge at idle. Only after 2k rpm

There is nothing you can "hear" or other wise, would've turned off the music. You feel it jerk, not hear anything.

The needle flakes after 2k rpms. Doesn't change the engine at all. Once I go about 70, it'll start flaking between 2k and 3k. But if I increase my speed, it'll flake higher.

And third, already got all the codes read, been to two dealerships. Both said the same thing, nothing wrong with the car, the light just needs to be reset from the inside, but going to cost me an arm and leg.

But if I had to guess if it bogs down while flaking and feeling like the gears won't shift, my answer would be, I think so.

Something does not compute.
So the SES is on and there's no codes? If there's any bucking when it does that and the hint is it's bogging there's likely a problem with ignition. There would be misfire codes.

its impossible for the ses light to be present with out any codes

Id go to a local auto parts and let them scan your truck
If no codes are present sounds like a problem with the computer on the truck

Sorry, I meant to say that they'll usually ask if my heat works because stuff like a temperature gauge or something needs to be replaced. Nut it does so they clear it out, then the next week, something else similiar would pop up in codes. It works but it says it's broke.

But that's been coming on after this issue occured.
