Seat Swapping

Seat Swapping
I have a 2004 ZR2 and basically I hate the drivers seat, just wondering how hard it is to switch it out with a different style one. This one is a power seat is it possible to put a manual seat in it instead?? I just have to do something, its tough to drive for me with extreme height. Any suggestions are welcome and if anyone has seats locally for me let me know and see if interested. thanks.

I imagine should be able to swap in any seat from a regular Blazer/S10, if their style suits you. Otherwise aftermarket? I saw some seats available on the Web a while back, from various wreckers. The cloth upholstery is wearing through in some spots in my Jimmy.

Yeah, good luck, my issue is I don't feel comfortable in them, I feel much more comfortable in my 2001 blazer LT. The seats I had in my 2002 blazer were not power and even better, I am thinking they are lower mounted and that give me more room or something. I am really stumped with what to do right now. Thanks for your input thou.

I think the body was the same throughout the years for the second gen. Then it should be possible to directly swap seats from different years (bolt in). I thought about changing the front seat to bench seat, so I was checking this out for a while. Messing with tranny cosole might have been a problem then (S10s with bench seat may have been tree shift).

Yeah, all the s10s are tree shifters if they have bench seat, which are great but wouldn't work so well if you have a floor shift, I just hope I can figure out something so I can drive the truck more, its really annoying and I had so many blazers without issue for seats.

My 94 S15 was a 5 spd floor shift. It also had a bench seat. The automatics are either column or floor mounted. I have never seen a column shifted s10.
You could even take the power unit out and swap a manual unit in for more headroom clearance.
