SES Light blinks?

Mine horibly misses when its wet out and will even stall if its raining real hard enough. Its done that for awhile now. Ever since I moved to ferry actually. After you changed her cap and rotor was it all good again?

Yea it usually cured it. BUT...it may not yours. Could be wires, coil, worn plugs. But it does sound like the secondary side of your ignition system needs some work.

btw, what is the secondary side of my ignition? Is that the cap and rotor etc..? never heard any of it called the secondary side of ignition ha ha ha
Also, the more deeper I dive, the more I find out. Such as those autolites that are in it now, are copper plugs. And from what ive seen here and there, copper + Blazer = big no no. The wires, I inspected lastnight after it got dark, seen no arcing from them or the cap.

If you divide the ignition system in half, The primary side would be everything on the low voltage side of the coil. In the old days, it would be all the wiring, ignition switch, battery, points and condensor. Secondary side would be the high voltage side. Coil, Coil wire, distributor cap and rotor, Plug wires and Plugs.
The coil is basically a transformer. In the electrical world, the primary side of the transformer is the side you would supply power too. The transformer does it's magic and the power comes out of the secondary side.
The primary side and secondary side both have their unique problems. Back in the day when you had to tweak stuff every 3000 - 5000 miles, it was important to understand the problems each side could have. That way when it misbehaved, you could actually cut your troubleshoot in half and get the job done quicker.

Ahhh i see. That can work out better for me since im more of a mathmatical, divide and conquer kind of guy.
Well ill give it a full tune up using delco parts for the secondary and see what happens.
Thanks for the assistance. Definitely takes my full blown migraine down to a headache hahahaha
Ill keep you posted as to what happens.

talking nice to it doesnt hurt either.

Im always talking nice to it. I have good 15-20 minute conversations with him.. its probably not mentally healthy to be able to talk to your vehicle for 20 minutes though.. oh well. My blazer is my baby and he knows it. Hes more spoiled then my wife and child combined.

not that your problem really sounds like what I've experienced in the past. but check your fuel pressure. I replaced about $1000 in crap when I got a p0300 & it turned out to be the fuel pump.

So in a nut shell do not count out the injectors. My blazer has 150k and the fuel pump, filter, cap, rotor and injectors were all original. Good luck.

Thanks, the fuel pump actually did fix it. Before i got to that though, I replaced the plugs, distributor, TPS, fuel filter & had the spider upgraded from the cpi to efi ($$$). Finally I took it to the dealer. They checked the fuel pressure & it was low / all over the place. New fuel pump did the trick.
