Skid Plates, Transfer does not fit

5 Attachment(s)
Bought a set of the three aluminum skid plates and put the front and engine on with out any problems.

The transfer case plate does not fit, not even close. I have the 4 button 4WD, and have had the tranny and transfer case out to change the sun shell. Is there some way I have this in wrong? Its running fine otherwise.

Is there a skid plate that will fit this set up?

Pictures show how the transfer case plate is hitting the transfer case.

Justin

Not sure what your configuration is on your Jimmy, but I believe the skid plates are for the ZR2 style Blazer and ZR2 style S10 truck configuration. If your Jummy is not a ZR2 style- your skid plates may not match.

From what I understand, the regular Blazer and S-10, and the ZR2 frames are the same back as far as the skid plates attach, it is after that point that they change. As for the specific problem, it may be because you have the NP236 transfer case, and not the NP233 transfer case that was most likely int he vehicle that you pulled the plates from. Or, you may have missed a bracket off the donor vehicle, I did that and I've read where other people have done the same.

It is on the Jimmy. I thought the brackets were only needed on the motor skid plate, which I got through LMC.

I think it might not fit because your right about having the NP236 case.

Does any one have a picture from the side of the NP233? I will get a picture of mine from the side, you can see it is hanging down about 3-4 inches.

Thanks,

Justin

I think you may have picked up the first gen skid plate. I just picked mine up today and realized the transfer plate is the first gen plate. It looks like with a little heat and persuasion it should fit. Not sure yet I have to look more.
