So it begins

Last week my starter went out, fixed it and it runs perfect.

This morning on the way to work, my truck just bogs out like its out of gas..

Im assuming its the fuel pump but i need to check it out some more after work..

Nothing has broke until this last couple of weeks i guess its about time for crap to start breaking.............

ahh!!!!!

was it raining this morning?

Brian_D 08-24-2011 08:45 PM

Nope no rain

Brian_D 08-24-2011 09:09 PM

Going to check the filter first.

Man i hope its just the filter.

I dont have the money for this crap.

m3ch 08-24-2011 10:39 PM

was going to say if it was raining or damp or something to check the distributor cap and rotor, if they get wet it makes the truck feel like bogging down, but you know what they say, try the cheap stuff first

Brian_D 08-24-2011 10:44 PM

O yes, will do.

Benedict1337 08-24-2011 10:46 PM

you can tell if its your fuel pump by turning your key to the on position without starting it if the pump is working you should hear it. if it is your fuel pump those are a pain to get to. you either have to drop the fuel tank or cut a hole in the floor

xgiovannix12 08-24-2011 10:49 PM

I would never cut a hole in the floor LOl the bolts to the tank could be rotten yes but id never do that =P

bbaile13` 08-25-2011 12:11 AM

my truck sometimes sputters if i stop too short at a light...almost like all the gas rushes past the pump in the tank..

Brian_D 08-25-2011 07:39 PM

it doesnt even putter now, its not getting any gas at all.

Ill replace the filter and a couple other cheap things this weekend.

I am hoping for a easy fix.

Now i just gotta find the fuel filter lol
