Spare tire carrier
 

The spare tire on my ZR2 is so high your view is obstructed, it practically covers the entire back window. I saw an ad for a bracket that will lower it from 2.5 to 3.5 in but it's about $70.00 plus shipping. Has anyone used it and is it worth it? Does anyone have a picture of it etc?

havent heard of it. but that is definatly a stupid place for gm to put the tire. i say it looks alot better with it mounted inside like timetoblaze's. thats probly what ill end up doing.

ya, mine's inside, but I actually want it outside on a swing arm or something...it's sometimes a pain in the ass because it takes up trunk space

I am getting a safari rack with a tire mount. That way it is definately out of the way.

Let me know how that works out for you because I have a 93 so it would be the same for me to mount it as on yours...
