I drove it until almost test ready (only OH and EV left). And NO returning P0420. Then after all that driving, in one trip to Aldergrove, I go home to bed for work, then in one trip tonight .........it throws TWO codes, P0335 (Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit). Then.......P0137 (O2 Circuit Low Voltage [Bank 1, Sensor 2]). This was in hard driving in which I floored it several times.

Apparently........these two codes will make me fail Aircare?

:icon_eek:

That code indicates power is being lost to the sensor. Check for battery voltage on the pink wire to the crank sensor. It could be a poor or loose connection at or in the fuse panel, in the pink wire itself, or the connection at the sensor, or a faulty sensor. The crank sensor may also be hitting the reluctor ring. Pull out the sensor and have a look at it to see if there are any scuff marks. If it has been hitting it will need to be replaced and shimmed.

Thanks.Oh, when that happened with those two codes thrown under hard accel. up hill on the hwy, something strange happened..............while the pedal was matted, the tach needle spazzed back and forth really fast between 4000 and 6000 revs, maybe 5 times....all within a second or two. Yes, the whole truck also surged/shuttered during that short time. So that I don't understand.

You are having spark plug wire problems, this is a thread about O2 sensors and cats that is almost ten years old. Start a new thread and ask your question.
