Squeel front front driver side.
So i have a 2000 4x4 blazer LS (4door).
Has about 97k miles on it. Truck runs and drives excellent! BUT----- When i reach about 50mph or above it sounds like a metal on metal squeel from my front driver-side wheel. I don't really know what to think. Do I need... New Wheel Bearings? New Ball joints? Or Something else? Also, I just replaced all 4 shocks, but when you press on the front of the truck you get a squeak, almost sounds like rubber. I'm thinking i need to lube up the bushings. Could these 2 sounds be related? Thanks! |
How are the brake pads? Maybe it's just the wear indicator on the pad.
Have you inspected the clearances between the rotor & the caliper, pad, steering knuckle? |
Just took the wheel off, couldn't really tell, but i just got brand new brakes and rotors less than 5000 miles ago. It seemed like there was alot of friction though when i tried to spin the wheel. Maybe Re-Calibrating the caliper?
|
After recalibrating the caliper...... It still happens, so could it be an axle bearing???
|
New update, when rolling down the window and taking a hard right you can here a low grind/squealish noise. This leads me to believe its a wheel bearing, can anyone second me on this?
