Tripwire401, just as rexmburns stated, it's probably best to go with an AC Delco or Delphi fuel pump. They can cost as much as two times the other brands but they tend to last much longer. Personally, I don't understand how the after market guys continue to stay in business if they are really that bad.

Weak Fire?
Maybe I over looked it but I didn't see anything about Replacing the Distributer Cap and Rotor Button.
If these two items are bad it would do exactly what you're saying.
Follow Capt Hooks advise first,,, He da man with these little creatures.

Im having a similar issue.
Im pretty sure mine is the fuel pump as it reads from 40-45 psi at the test port. Im not very familiar with fuel pump manufactures. So would like to know what you all think of spectra specifically this pump

Do yourself a favor and DON'T buy a aftermarket pump.
If you can't afford a new AC Delco or Delphi,,, I would get one from the bone yard before I bought a aftermarket one.
