Default STUMPED: hose from distributor area?

Ill have to include a picture when the wife gets home since she has the camera.

Okay, theres a vac hose running through my passenger firewall coming out by my battery.. it goes down behind the engine, assuming to the distributor or there abouts. I removed my battery and looked for a canister or something for the line to hook into but there is nothing there. I removed my air box thinking maybe there was something on that side for it to hook into but found nothing.

so im completely stumped.. i plugged it off with a bolt. It doesn't run any different when its plugged off or not plugged off, im just confused as to what it is supposed to connect to and where it is supposed to connect.

It is probably the line going to the vacuum actuator for the front axle.

the wife is home and i climbed into the motor to get some pictures. Upon doing this, i traced it into my firewall under my heater hoses. I also unrouted it and took a picture of it unrouted from the fender..

This is where it leads under my heater hoses into my firewall.. traced it with my finger after unrouting it from the fender and felt it go into the firewall..

But when it is routed like i said it comes out at the battery area and from there i see nothing for it to plug into..

Yep, that goes down to the front axle engagement actuator located under the battery tray.

Search is your friend! Plenty of pictures available. A quick look at a few of the 4wd related tech articles would give you the details you request.

Whoo that was so simple to find.. ive stared at it before and didn't think anything of it. Well I took the tray out and seen how it was all hooked up. What I still couldn't see was where this line hooked up at. I see the big line connecting straight to the axel itself.. and i don't know if this is normal or not but when i ran my finger over the actuator it "deflated" or sunk in.
