Thank you!

I just wanted to drop my thanks. I bought a 2002 Blazer 2D LS standard trans (non-vortec) 149,000 mile on it a few months ago to use for work and have used this forum to fix problems like;
Droopy doors-fixed with new pins and shims
Broken vent actuator-replaced by going thru glove box
Non working vent control-Fixed with new vacuum hose
Squeaky sound from rear-Nut missing from sway bar end
Code p0452-Bad tank pressure sensor replaced without removing tank
Spark plug #3-Tried to get around the shaft but was way too close, had to disconnect the steering shaft, never would have figured that out
Proper placement of heater hoses-guy who sold it to me said before he replaced radiator he did it because he thought that the heater core was leaking, it wasn't. He cut them off and bypassed it then figured out it was the radiator
I now know why my e-brake doesn't work-think I'll wait on this one till I replace the rear brakes. From what I've read GM really ought to recall this
Replace a broken outer door handle-It had me stumped
All-in-all I still think I got a good deal for $1,900, cosmetically it needed a new PS fender and a grille, not to bad off ebay, couldn't find anything good at the local junk yard
All thanks to this forum. But I do have a question. I have read about the bad LIM gasket on the Vortecs. Is this a common problem on the non Vortec as well? I don't see any problems of fluids mixing, hard to tell as the oil was deep black (I don't think he ever changed it) and had no coolant, only water. I did a complete flush of all fluids and all seems fine, need to do another flush of radiator as he put in that Bars leaks gold and I still see some gold flakes.
Also if there are any other common problems that come up with this model I would appreciate a heads up
like to nip those in the bud before there is a problem.

WOW, I feel dumb now. I thought there was 2. I'd seen where some said Vortec on the engine, and the guy who sold it to me told me it wasn't. Guess Id better start gathering up the stuff to do a LIM. Thanks again!
