Tire size?
 

I have a 05 4-door 4-WD. The current tire size is 235/75/15. I just put new tires and rims on my sons jeep. The tires we took off are only 9-months old, But their size is 265/70/15. Has anyone ran this size of tire before on their blazer? Mine is stock. Instead of selling them, I thought about replacing mine with them. Since I'm going to need new tires soon. Thanks.

Although the 265 should be around 1/2" taller the width (up to 2" more) could be a problem with hitting the lower control arms in a tight turn. See what kind of clearance you have now. Hopefully someone who has tried the 265's will reply.

Thanks I fixed it. Also the 265's are an inch wider too.

The tire sample I looked at the specs for showed a 2" width diff. Another I just checked shows only 1" so if yours are only a inch you may be able to adjust the stops out to keep from hitting that lower c/a.

The answer to your question can be found in the Miata Tire Calculator on the net. Google this site and you put in the stock size for your Blazer--- I am sure by now you see your typo 235/135--- and then to compare the diameter you put in the tire size of the 'take off'. It will give you a side by side comparison of the two tires. If they are more than 1/4 inch or maybe 1/2inch apart, it will affect the speedometer....and maybe the trans shifting.

There's a lot of things that can affect it. A normal street type tire will be a lot less likely to rub than an AT or MT type tire of the same height because an AT or MT will have a lot larger shoulder. I ran 255/70/15 touring type tires for 3 years with no problems on my factory height 4 door 4x4 Blazer.

This is just a guess because there can be a lot of variation even in factory height Blazers, but with a 265/70/15 I'd bet that you will probably touch the sway bar and the frame when you turn the steering wheel right to the stops and hit a bump. You might also touch the back of the front fender. All of those points could be mitigated if you're wanting to lift your Blazer a bit.
