Hey all, so I have a problem.
I have a 1997 Blazer with the obvious 4.3L and the 4L60E, and the engine light came on. The code came up as a 1-2 shift solenoid as I thought because I couldn't shift into first. So I decided to do a tranny filter and fluid all the usual and replace the solenoid. I did it all, pan on, started, no light! Yay! The next day start it, lights back on. I drive it for a little bit, shut it off, turn it back on and it turns off and shifts fine. Any ideas? All help is appreciated! Thanks

Tranny is a slang term. It is used chiefly to describe people who are transgender, transsexual, transvestites or cross-dressers.... lol
Have you cleared the old codes?

Take the connector apart on the passenger side of the trans, just above the pan. Round grey plastic connector, maybe 1.5" in diameter. Spray some brake clean in both parts of the connector and clean it out. Check each pin and socket, and make sure they're tight. Put some silicone dielectric grease in the connector. Also make sure the connector latches when you plug it back in.
