Unknown TC issue... (what has been done so far)

UPDATE: It's Done.
That was the call I got today about 20 minutes ago. It sounded like the kind of "it's done" you would get after a buddy stashes the body of someone you killed on accident. Well following up on my home work from Kyle, I ran out of time, and again asked a mechanic to log some time on my ride. Well.... It's done....
Turns out that after having the new engine installed, everything was not hooked back up correctly. I assumed that things went belly up BECAUSE of the water, not improper install. My 4wd never worked after the water thing, and thats when they found the fuel pump setting dislosged from the fuel tank and I assumed that was when my sending unit got smoked.
Not only do I have 4WD now, my fuel gauge is back up and running. At some point, near the transmission, there are 2 connectors. One from the sending unit to the cluster, and another from the TC to something.... When I get off and head over, I'm gonna sanp a pic or two of what ever the hell they are talking about. (I procured a camera today.) ANY way this whole thing has set me back 1 TCEM (Since I siezed up mine) and the labor to instal the new one (since I = Epic Fail). I'll update one last time with the pics when I can get them and post them up tongiht. I'm both pleased (4WD AND a sending unit!) and ashamed (2 wires off?! WTF!) but more pleased than anything else

Last One
Last update: The first pic is the wire harness (fresh tape) where the wires feed into a large batch of wires. Second Pic is the same thing. This is where the wires were litterally crossed.
It was already off the lift and patched up when I got to it. Sorry I can not give a better account as it was left vague by the mechanic that was chasing the wires. I wasn't there when this part went down... I did manage to get a few technical print outs (diagrams and such) that i would be happy to post of put in the proper spot for future reference sometime Sunday probably.
Anyway, I'm glad my crap works too. I got charged through the @$$ for it for the labor I did not perform...(basically all of the hard stuff )
Painful lesson: Don't tackle something you know nothing about
