vent valve?

okay, so i know i have a transmission vent that runs from the tranny towards the diver side of the radiator. I also found one that is tied onto the side of the Tranny dip stick... does anyone have an idea of what this is for? Crank vent? diff vent?

the on on the dipstick tube if for the trans. The one by the radiator is for your front diff.

by the dipstick for the trans.

the one by the radiator is for the transmission oddly enough. i might just follow it down and see where it goes into, i just figured id ask before i did

by the radiator is the front diff, the one on the dipstick is for the transfer case, if oils coming up out of it the front seal in the case is bad. the trans vent is just a 6'' piece of hose that lays on top of the trans behind the bell housing

hmm... you dont say? there was no oil coming out of it until i drove cross country and about half way though i popped my hood just to check n see that everything was okay and the hose was a bit damp with oil. not a lot just a tiny bit

maybe normal, pull the FILL plug on the t case, if oil comes blowing out, like 2 qts, then front case seal is pooped
