water in exhaust

alright i noticed fo a while now water will drip form the muffler and exhaust pipe. after running the truck for about 15 minutes in the driveway i had about a 6 inch wife damp area under th exhaust pipe and a stream going from under the muffler so im wondering if i need a new head gasket. had a scan done on the truck and it showed a random misfire in the number 1 cylender and lately i have been over heating and losing fluid. i just replaced the radiator, clutch fan and did my 3rd flush in 2 month. the water pump seems to be runnning fine.

any help is apreciated and sorry about the spelling

RE: water in exhaust

Are you noticing any white smoke coming from the exhaust during acceleration?

Yeah dude I would totally think it's a blown head gasket. I'm no mechanic, but you have all the symptoms.

if you have a bad head gasket, you should have a whitish grey foam on your oil dipstick. are you sure it isnt just basic condensation from combustion dripping out of your exhaust?

RE: water in exhaust

i have never observed anything wrong with the oil amd exaust i couldnt tell ya but to annote to the original message i put on a "heavy duty" clutch fan and new thermostat and the temp is still varying from 160 -190 ( estimating ) which isnt bad it use to be going to about 220 sometimes. i also am only getting about 12 miles to a gallon but im not sure if that has something to do with leak in the gas tank that i mentioned in a diffferent thread

but is it normal to have to have the temp "spike and drop" several times while on the highway witha constant speed and relatively flat ground?

oh and can the water pump intermidately work and fail? starting to wonder if the water pump just occasinaly stops pumping
