hi. its a 2000 blazer and since i got it almost 2 yrs ago, when i use the ac the passenger floor gets soaked. under the rug. i was told that the heater core is clogged or somethin?
it also gets wet when i use the heat too.
i dont know where to unclog it, this bein my 1st 2nd gen blazer...
is the same as the 94 blazer?
or maybe someone could tell me how?
but maybe it isnt even the problem...just was tryin to see what you guys thought.

on the firewall, there are two hoses directly beside each other, slightly towards pass side beside the motor ( looking from the front.) Take the hoses off, (remember which goes to which side). take a piece of plastic to re-route the water off the motor(to divert off the block). take a garden hose and start running water through both sides. I like to do a final flush of distilled water(believe I got that from Kyle).

Keep flushing and you will see gunk comin out!

It is possible that you have a plugged HVAC drain which is located at the firewall on the engine side under the HVAC case where the two halves come together. I had an odor issue that I solved by simply cleaning out the drain.

Now, do you smell coolant inside the truck? Is the floor continuously wet? Is the coolant level in the engine decreasing (are you adding coolant)?

If any or all of the above questions are a 'YES' then you mostlikely have a leaking heater core.

no, there is no smell, and i dont ever have to add coolant.
as far as it being wet all the time. .. it isnt. seems only if i use the heater or ac. if i dont use anything for a while, it will be dry
