Working on my Grandsons 1999 S10 Blazer and and while replacing the multifunction switch in the steering column, I got it all apart and got the new switch in however..... I pulled a bonehead move and didn't pay attention to where the Park Position Switch goes. The part number of the switch is 26054721. I have looked at the repair manual and all over online and while I find the part listed, I dont find any picture or description that tells me where it goes. Cant believe I cant remember were I took it off from but this was a major undertaking. If someone can describe when it goes or better yet, post or email me a picture, I will be most grateful. I dont want to put the steering wheel back on until I know where this switch goes.

Many thanks in advance.

I figured it out. It goes right on top of the column a little to the right of center so that the cast metal tab on the shifter lever pushes the plunger on the switch when you are in Park and let go of the shifter and it moves back toward the dash.

I was going to delete this post but figured someone else may have the same question sometime. I spent several hours trying to figure it out. Now you put the rest of it back together. What a royal pain.
