Why is my Blazer shaking?

I have a 96 Chevy blazer, and every time I start to move the car feels really wobbly. It keeps on shaking as I continue to increase speed. It also squeaks when I come to a stop. Someone said its either a wheel barring or else the ball joints. So I am not sure, if any one knows please let me know.

well,do this for us. Jack the front end up. grab each wheel and wiggle it. wiggle it at the 9 and 3 oclock position, then 12 and 6 position. look for wear. I bet its bad tires.

Sounds as if a front wheel bearing is on the way out.

Shaking

Let me ask this. Do u have a rattling sound that sounds like it could be a heat shield? It could be bearings in the transfer case

First off, I assume you checked your lug nuts and don't have a wheel about to fall off!!!!!

Now, take it out on the road and see about eliminating things it could be. Get up to about 30 or so and slip the transmission into neutral. Does the noise go away or not change at all. While you're on the road, have someone follow you and watch the tires. If you have a trea that has separated it will show up as a wiggle on the tread. A bent wheel or one that isn't on flat will also show up as a wobble.

Now that you're heading home, open your windows and drive past a flat brick or concrete wall with the radio off. Listen to see if you can hear where it's coming from.

I'm thinking you either have a bent rim or a wheel bearing getting ready to pack it in. I suspect you have a wheel problem if the car seems wobbly.

I've had wobbles from broken belts in the tire. You should be able to see it by rotating the tire, it'll look like a lump.
