Hi I have a 1999 Chevy Blazer 4.3 4x4 automatic transmission. I just got finished doing intake manifold gasket job after getting everything put back together I cranked ran good drove it for about a quarter mile then rpm was going up but not going very fast in a couple min it quit pulling all together in any gear when you shift it will not move. It was moving and shifting fine before the intake job did I forget to plug something back up and I did check the fluid and it was full. Any suggestions?

So the engine runs, you can move through all the gears at idle, in any gear the engine revs up but the truck will not move?

Wonder if for some strange reason the shifting linkage came unhooked below @ the side of the transmission..I have seen that happen quite a few times where the parking pawl 'ball' deteriorates allowing the linkage to come off...Weird the timing though...although timing sometimes means nothing....just a thought.....have someone move the shifter and watch below to see if the arm is connected to the side of the trans....Jerry

In addition to the linkage, have you checked the trans fluid level?
