At what speed does the noise appear and does the noise increase with speed? If so, and tho noise appears after 30 mph and gets whinier as you go faster may actually be a front hub/wheeling bearing.

I too have started hearing a wierd noise coming from the front of my 2000 4.3 4wd Blazer. It seems to only occur from 30-50 mph. It sounds like something is rattleing I cant "feel" it in the steering or floor. Its not a whinning sound more like popcorn popping. Any clues?

it only happens when i give it fuel at about 1800 to 2200 rpms. goes away after that. it really sounds like intake leak but i still dont hear it in park. kinda like i have have a cold air intake on it. im stomped bcuz it still runs strong besides bad mpg but always had that
