wiring electric fan

Pulling the heads off the blazer this weekend to fix the head gaskets. i am wanting to get rid of the stock fan and go with some electric units. are you guys just wiring to a constant power that is turned on by ignition key or do you guys have a relay type connection that would work at a certain temperature?

if there is a write up in the DIY section that i missed please direct me. Thank you.

You can buy fan controller kits from Summit and places like that. They usually run under $100. They use a thermostat and have an off/on temperature, and if you have dual fans, you can get a dual fan controller that gives you independent control of each fan by temp.
