RE: Wrecked my blazer...rear ended someone!
That sucks! Atleast you're ok.
What year truck are we talking about here? As for parts, do you want to go new? used? For used, check your local junkyards, front fenders/hood off of any s-series of the same year range should work. Most yards can give you a cross-reference list when you walk in that will tell you what you can get parts off of. Post up some pics so we can see what things need to be replaced. Good luck! |

Sorry to hear that man, but atleast you're fine.I don't mean to sound like an a***ole, but post some pictures, let's see the carnage.
If it's any consolation I wrecked my Blazer last week: https://blazerforum.com/m_51777/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm (short link button is M.I.A.) |

That kind of damage on a vehicle that is 8 years old usually ends up costing more than what the vehicle is worth to repair. I don't know how much you are willing to do yourself, I've replaced the radiator and fanin mine after some piece of garbage got sucked up in the fan and broke off one of the blades then sent it through the radiator. It took about 2 hours to replaceand cost $150 for the radiator and another $50 for the fan. I need to replace my front bumper and grill from a minor fender bender I've seen parts on eBay but haven't really seriously considered buying them just yet, the bumpers run about $100 and the grills another $50 or so.
You probabally need new lights, a hood, fenders and any of the support pieces infront of the radiator and you'll have to straighten out anything behind the radiator that was bent. On top of that you'll have to get it painted. If you've ever thought about making your blazer an off road project vehicle, now is the time to start because it's going to be a money pit from here on. |
RE: Wrecked my blazer...rear ended someone!
ok...i figured that much, my question to you guys "More experienced" is will a hood and other accesories from a 1998 s10 work on my blazer, if its the same year? If so my prblems may just be solved because i know a guy who has one with like 200 thousand miles on the motor, and hes selling it for like 400 dollars. Should i buy it for parts and such, or just try to find other misc. blazer parts elsewhere?
thnk you |
RE: Wrecked my blazer...rear ended someone!
I'd do a quick search on GMPartsDirect.com. From what I saw, the '95-2002 Blazer and S10 pickup share atleast the hood.
