I want to ask you a question about installing 07 08 09 GMC Chevrolet Tahoe Yukon Radio Cd Gps Navigation on 00 jimmy.





It's possible to install it with a minor modification or not?
Because I don't like aftermarket items I like to keep everything like original oem.

I'm pretty sure that all GM radios from 2003 and up are paired with the BCM and are VIN locked requiring their programming tool to write the VIN to the radio, and I highly doubt that the databus system from the newer trucks would be compatible with our older trucks. Especially trucks older than 2003 when GM changed over to the newer system in the S-series trucks. I'm not saying it's impossible, but I have my doubts about it.

 

Ok so, the problem not with the wiring and how to connect them it about programming right?
