right before i sold my type r's i turned off my sub sonic filter and dropped it to 12 hz those subs looked like they where going to fly out of the box they where so erratic. dont play them too low and screw them up.

 

JL specs says tune "infrasonic" filter to 20hz so... i'm set at 20hz... the sub moves soooooo much

 

i forgot if your sealed or ported but any lower then your port tuning and you asking for trouble mister!

well obviously it'll be ported because sealed isn't "tuned" so... but JL also says to tune the box to 36hz and i tuned it to 30 so... i haven't experienced any problems but my sub does sound much better when my windows are up rather than down so.... i'll run out and take some pictures. I'M STILL NOT CARPETED AS AN FYI. i still have to finish some pieces friday before i'm "done"

 

So.... before i could even get a picture of my system i had a cop on my asking me what i was doing and to leave... So i tried a different area and sure enough another cop shows up and yells at me. Its as if they have gps on me haha. I'll get them tomorrow and figure it all out. Friday.... i pray Friday.... i'll get the tweeters and crossovers installed. maybe the new headunit. I know once i get the new HU installed my music will sound better but until then, its my good old Pioneer

 

Funny how cops show up like that. It's like they are trained to sniff out spider assemblies and MDF wood .

well... sub was turned up a little too loud i guess...

anyways..... my truck is going into the shop soon because the trans isn't working quite right. everytime i shift into drive it lurches hard and it hums really badly when i'm driving any faster than 25. so i'm going to be without updates for a while. the only good part is that i can carpet it and what not. so it'll work out but not at the same time
