Default Alternator/Serpentine Belt Help

I have a 2004 Chevrolet Blazer. I just bought a powermaster 48237 High output alternator. It said it would fit, but my serpentine belt is too small. I’ve been looking online but everywhere gives mixed numbers. Some say the belt is 95”, some say 82”. I need a/c. But maybe if the belt was .5” longer it would be perfect. The stock alt and the powermaster alt side by side, the powermaster is bigger. Bringing the pulley up too. Can anyone point me in the direction of where to find a slightly larger serpentine belt, or if that alternator will even work. It mounted just fine.

Thank you.

Go to you local parts store with the belt you have and tell them you need one a half inch longer. Make sure it is the same width and rib pattern.

Yep. This is what I had to do when I replaced my AC compressor.

Once you get the right belt, make a note of the new correct size for future reference.

...and (electrical engineering moment) Dont route lots of excess current thru the factory electrical wiring.

Just like a new belt must transfermore mechanical torque, that OE wiring may not be able to handle another 20-50 amp.

Accessory relays are a must!

( it sucks to have to jump out of a flaming vehicle)
