RE: amp question
i just checked best buys site to see what they carry. and definatly get an alpine or rockford fosgate over kenwood. i dont know enough about pioneer amps to compare them. but if i was u, id get an alpine amp. dont listen to the people in your area (especially the "pros" at best buy), theyre idiots.

RE: amp question
ok it was the 2 ch rockford that was 500 rms but its a 4ohm sub the 12" alpine type-r 1242D and the peak power @ 4ohms is 1500 watts and the rms is 500 watts. by the way it is a dual voice coil sub

RE: amp question
You can always check their website. I'm pretty sure they have free shipping as well. So, if they carry it, it'll be on the website.

RE: amp question
so let me get this straight if i have a 4 ohm dual voice coil sub i should be looking at the 2 ohm stats of the amp...or am i wrong...............cuz i just heard a dvc 4 ohm sub gets wired like its 8 ohms (confused)

RE: amp question
ok thanks fatryan u have been so much help i am really thankfull so that alpine amp would actually be perfect for my sub... the one that u showed me through the link....by the way im going to wire my sub parallel

RE: amp question
Otherwise sell your gift certificates for a little less, if you can. That way you can buy from anywhere you want. Just make sure you can sell them all for a decent price.

RE: amp question
if u cant trade the gisft cards for cash, then go with the alpine mono amp.. im not sure on the model number (somethin-350) its rated @ 350 rms @ 2 ohms.. its more than enugh to push 1 type r.. my cusin was pushin 2 12s 500 watts total RMS.. amp pushed them with ease..
