Big 3
used knukonceptz 4 awg which is bigger then other 4 awg. left factory wires installed, new is fused. checked all ground points today and all are good. one thing i screwed up with is left the power wire way to close to the heater core hose so i also fixed that today.
Its only bigger cause the insulation is thicker and its finer strand but thats a side note.
Ditch the fuse, you don't need it. Make sure all connections are tight. What kinda ends you use, crimp, set screw, or solder?

side note thought of though, insulation is not thicker then others as far as strand im not counting it lol. i compared it to kicker and stinger stuff. are you sure about the fuse thing? connections are tight to the extreme actually. i used stinger crimp ends and they are really tight also.
Yeah, different strands styles have different sizings standards. Soild wire is the smallest for it size, then thick stranded, and finally thin stranded will be thicker. All comparing to the same overall gauge.
The fuse is pointless, even if it blows both ends are hot and unless you check it often the volt gauge reads off the alt so you won't know it blown and it might leave you on the side of the road with a dead battery.

even with the stock wires still connected? im just confused as hell cuz alot of ppl say fuse it and when you upgrade the alternator you have to fuse it, but then some say you don't fuse it cuz its pointless power flows from both ends. idk man so many diff things ppl say
