cd player ground
 

My old cd player just grounded to the harness, the new Pioneer DEH-4400hd has the same ground, but on the end of it, it has a ring terminal to screw to a metal part on the dashboard to ground it. :icon_screwy:
I can just cut that ring terminal off and ground it to the harness correct?
Seems like a dumb question since it will be grounded, But just thought I would check.

I just did it that way, clipped off the ring terminal and ran it to the ground from the wiring harness, it worked, like I thought

Yeah. That's what I do. I think they do that for some of the older cars that you can ground it to metal behind the dash.
