I just bought a Used Stock CD Radio for my 99 4x4 Blazer LS. I took the old stock Cassette radio out (It worked fine, just wanted a CD player) and slipped in the CD radio. The unit works except the display does not light up when I have the key on. It does flash on for a second just when I turn it off. I can see the radio station or the time of day but then it goes dark (no "LOC" or "ERR" so it isn't locked). Is the unit bad? Can I use any parts off the old display to fix this?
(By the way, this is a great forum. It has helped me fix a multitude of vacuum issues, taking my dash out to replace the heater core, etc.)
Thanks, Rick

I figured it out. Just needed to pull the power and reset it. Works fine now. You can close this.
