Door speaker install problem
I've got a 2000 LS 2dr 4wd. I just got done replacing the dash tweeters with some full range 4x6's and the rear 6x9's, all Alpine. I tried to replace the door speakers with 6 1/2" speakers but I couldn't get the factory speakers out. I took the door panels off but not entirely. Enought to get to the speakers but I just can't see how these speakers are attached. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks. |
RE: Door speaker install problem
They're attached with 4 t10 hex screws. Pull the panels off all the way, which takes some fighting to get the power window/lock buttons out, but they'll come out completely with enough wiggling. The speakers are easily accessed after that. I have a guide for a 4 door over on .net.
