Double din HU in a 95

Im thinkin about puttin in a double din HU in my truck, got on crutchfield to see if they will fit and it says double dins wont fit in my truck. I really want this unit and was just wondering if you guys have gotten it to work and how. also any opinions on the HU would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

anything will fit with a little bit of trimming. Not sure on the pre 98 but i would think you would need to trim the bezel around the stock radio and fab up some way to mount it in there.

Just get one that is a single din but the screen pops out and folds up, problem solved

i thought about that, but i like the way the double dins look. i saw some where there was a single din that had a screen to make it look like a double din, it didnt flip up the screen just hang down. might try that

double din will fit you just have to loose the pocket under the radio ... and do a little fab for a installation kit and done

Im in the process of putting my double din in now with a custom fiberglass install. Im gonna do a big post i took pics all through out so maybe you can get some ideas. theres another guy on here who made one out of mdf and relocated his ac to the glove box might be an idea for you? all depends on how you like it!
