firewall?

Ill be installing my system next week, and i have some heart 0 gauge wire, so is there an existing hole in the firewall i can route it through? Or will i have to drill?

find a safe spot & drill away!

just make sure you get the right drill size for the gromet.

...... -.- i have to drill?

old skool luvr Feb 19, 2011 09:16 AM

uh, yeah!

do you think they would've been nice enough to have engineered an extra hole in the firewall, so we could run some extra wiring through it in the future?

remember, engineers designed this vehicle. :icon_badrazz:

no, seriously though, you're gnna need to punch a hole in it.

actually........that'd be better. if you have access to a GREENLEE knockout punch, that would make a super clean hole in the sheetmetal. (it's what electrician's use to make new holes in panels & switch boxes)

Any suggestions or places your could recommend?

0 gauge, eh? That's some pretty thick wiring.

well, there is some open firewall on the passenger side to the left of the antennae grommet, not sure if that's far enough away from the antennae wire to prevent interference, though. I just ran my 4 gauge through the antennae grommet without any issues, but that stuff's relatively thin.

cbr... this thing?

That'd be the one.
However, I don't think you have enough room to run it through there, and you'll more than likely have issues with the reception on your radio.

Well, I think ive turned on my radio 1 time, during christmas for the music lol. So if i dont care about the radio, can I? :D

that's where I ran my wire, it was enough room for 1/0.
