i drilled a new hole on the driver side for mine. but you can easily use the grommet. i just didn't want to risk screwing up the stock wiring and what not.

matt92 Feb 20, 2011 08:21 PM

where did you drill your hole? Im also concrned with not having enough wire going to the back because i only have 16 or so feet.

cbr995 Feb 20, 2011 08:29 PM

I got 16 feet of wiring and had just enough to run through the grommet, against the firewall to the driver side, and run the wire between the seat and the door sill. I just cut accross under the rear seats. You can't see the wiring. Just play with it a bit. It's about the perfect length.
Nice Solobarics, btw.

I guess I stand corrected. 01Vortec ran it through there lol.

matt92 Feb 20, 2011 08:37 PM

when you say in between, did you put it under the plastic sills? or just laying on the floor?

cbr995 Feb 20, 2011 09:03 PM

I put it underneath the carpet between the plastic sill and the seat.

01vortec Feb 20, 2011 09:14 PM

you'll have to run 1/0 under the carpet, theres not enough room to tuck it under sills and still have them clip down. atleast there wasn't for me.

MTopper Feb 20, 2011 11:29 PM

if you're feeling very adventurous you can run it under the carpet next to the trans tunnel and have a lot of play room. mine is across the engine bay (tied to the firewall) through grommet, along the tunnel, under the seats and all the way to the tailgate

cbr995 Feb 20, 2011 11:33 PM

Yeah, Beside the center tunnel is probably the best way to go with that thick of a wire.

MTopper Feb 20, 2011 11:53 PM

i had a 17 foot kit in a 2 door if that helps at all
