Great way to mount stereo amps

Here's how I mounted my two Pyle amps.

Hopefully there's enough space inbetween them & they don't overheat,
|
Yeah me too, but so far they're good. If they do start to overheat radio shack sells some fans
|
Might be too late by then. I'd do the fans now.
|
Yup, little 12v fan, make a bracket to hold it above them = cheap insurance!
|
joke time ....... WHEN they do overheat, does that mean they are a steamy pyle of crap? hahaha

I've seen much worse actually. While it's not the most conducive to cooling, with those particular amps I doubt heat will be much of a problem. I'd never buy Pyle but I started out 16 years ago with Pyle type brands, subs by a company called Thump (tell me that doesn't sound cheesy) and Profile amps. I used Profile brand amps for several years before I was able to get my hands on better brands, with some success I might add. The cheap stuff can't stack up to any of the worthwhile brands but it does what it's intended to do. It gives the user a product they can use to better their factory sound without breaking the bank and a good way to ultimately learn the ins and outs of car sound performance if they're up to the task. I'm sure the OP would love to have JL, Kicker, Sundown, Rockford, Zapco, MMATS, or any other easy to name high end brand, but he's gotta start somewhere.

nice idea...... but they do seem close..
steaming pyle... nice. |
Valid point, and at least he's not trying to run a high powered system off them, nothing hurts me more then to see what could be a beautiful high powered stereo setup being done with something thats only going waste more money then needed

I totally agree with the point you are making. BUT how can you lump kicker and RF in with zapco when talking about high end brands? I wouldnt even really call JL a high end brand either. I would call all of the brands you mentioned more reliable or more sought after. |

Oh I completely agree, but most people they consider RF, Kicker and JL all high end brands. I figured it was easier to name brands that were familiar and relatively affordable. That and I was tired as it was a long day at work, coming up with real high end brand names was just too difficult at that point and I did say easy to name, lol. Though I would like to add ZED audio and McIntosh to the list what other brands would you consider high end today? There's so few left in comparison to what there used to be IMO. |
isnt that sad? the day that RF is high end is the day i crap my pants.
