A ground wire for the radio?
 

I got an amp wiring kit and it says to attach the ground lead from the radio to any other ground leads from any other accesories such as equalizers, crossovers, or other amps to this same ground point. What does that mean? I don't have any of those things. Do I need to worry about it?


Also, should I route any wires away from other wires? Example- Route the RCA's AWAY from all other wires?

don't worry about the ground for cd player. Current vehicle ground is fine. most people would say to run rca's away from the power wore for the amp. but you probably wont pick up any interference from it.

I would agree with hillbilly here, in most cases you won't pick up any noise by running your power wire on the same side as your RCA's, but I always separate them out of habit. Typically, I always run the power wire down the driver's side and the RCA's down the passenger side. It really doesn't take that much time, and if you ever have future issues with noise or distortion, you know that is not a possibility.
