Default Install kits

I purchased a sub and amp recently, and I am now wanting to install it myself. What are some quality brands for wiring kits? I am running an Alpine M-450 and one Infinity 124.7 @ 2 ohms, this means I am going to need a 4 ga. kit, right? Thanks for any help.

according to CRUTCHFIELD, the amp has 8ga terminals... you can run a 4ga if you want that way you can upgrade in the future but the a 4ga wire wont fit in the amp.

i have heard good things about KNU wiring

Good call I was just looking at that myself! Do you have any brand recommendations? I am guessing there are good ones and crappy ones as with everything.

idk, im sure others will comment but i think wire is wire... kicker wire is supposed to be good and really flexible which is a plus but flexibility isnt a major concern. for my 4channel amp, i have 8ga Scosche wire that i have been using with my old subwoofer for about 2.5 years. for mynew kickeramp, i have dBLink 4ga wire. never heard of the brand before but i got the entire kit (power, ground, 20ft 16ga speaker wire, rca cable, and remote lead) for $18...

if there are any car audio shops around you, check and see if they'll sell it by the foot.

as far as name brands,
stinger
tsunami
kicker
rockford
knuconceptz
im sure theres many more...

I have always been a fan of Street Wires, Stinger, and believe it or not the higher end Rockford equipment. One suggestion I can make is stay away from the cheapkits at Walmart etc.

streetwires. thats the one i couldnt think of. one of my local audio shops has a streetwires display with these ***** where you select how much power you need and how long its going to be. it has 3 displays above the 1/0, 4, and 8 and shows you the what the voltage at the amp will be. it looks really nice but they seem a little pricey. expecially at the shop i went to

Ditts, streetwires has a display that will let you know what sizw power wire to run based on amp output and length in feet. mush like many of the tables floating around.
