Ipod Connection Stock Stereo

So Im looking to find out if there is a plug and play set up for an Ipod connection that I can tie into my stock stereo on my 2003 Blazer(With RDS). I have been looking around and cant find anything so im wondering if there is anything out there. The reason I would like a built in is because my truck was recently broken into and my transmitter was stolen. Went to pick up a new transmitter and almost fell flat on my back in the store due to them wanting close to $100CAN. So for that cost I figured I should be able to pick up a connection to interface with my Stock HU.

Looks like there are some options. A quick google search for "gm stereo to Ipod" turned up quite a few pages.

Yes, There are a bunch of them out there but the issue is compatabiltiy with the Blazer, I was wondering if anyone had something that they have working.

Maybe you should list what you have found and what compatibility issues there are so that there is no redundancy in responses...

Good luck with your search.

I agree. In my '05 Silverado I tried to get the parts to hard-wire my satellite radio directly to the head unit so I wouldn't have to search for an acceptable radio staion to transmit to, hard to find in the big city, and the cheapest i found was $300.00US:eek:

+1 on a new head unit. As stated above, you may not want to, but it's the best solution to the problem.

Aside from that, those cigarette lighter plug in's work somewhat. I've heard them be really staticy and break up at every second on my ex's Grand Prix stock rocker, to being crystal clear in a friend's Ford truck.

Best of luck to you brother.
