I am sick of my modulator and bought a head unit today. Don't think there is much to be done.

I used one for a few minutes, and never touched it again. I hate those with a passion.
You're better off getting an aftermarket deck with the iPod adapter built in.

I found out that most of the ipod transmitters have a small built in antenna, you may remove the casing and solder a wire on the built in antenna, the proper length for the FM broadcast band is 3 feet for a 1/4 wavelength 468 divided by the frequency. you may also take 3 feet of small wire and coil around a pencil.

you may also place the transmitter in the dash near the radio for improved reception.

If you need help feel free to post here I will reply.

Wireless Fm Transmitters are horrible.. honestly you are better off removing the antenna then trying to run something to it....try and find yourself a wired fm transmitter...along with sirius and xm radio. the FCC. made manufactures dumb down their transmission strength... because uncensored material is being openly brodcasted through the airwaves....this is why now you need to have a direct line to the radio via AUX port or running through the antenna wire in the back of the radio... i would honestly suggest the IS77 made by isimple....

My new hu should be here any day. Ordered Pioneer deh 3200ub. Plain jane compared to my other hu but works with steering wheel controls and plays my ipod. Wish they still sold hu with front and rear usb like the 510 ub in my Rubicon
