Default just curious...

would it be worth drilling holes to fit 2 6*9's in the rear hatch for added pleasure? Or would they just be cancelled out by any subs i got in the back?

I'm just trying to get ideas for a system(and i know you guys have had this question alot) but i dont really know how to start.

4 door 98'. I'm pretty sure im going to get a stealth box with a 10' sub for the back And four 6.5's. One for each door. Tweeters are fine. What sort of deck should i get to accomodate for the 6.5's? I went to the car audio store in town, and i'm pretty sure the guy was sellin me a load of Bullsh*+. im lookin to spend only about a G. But i dont know if i trust myself to do it, so i have to factor in install too.

For decks, i suggest an Alpine or Pioneer. A grand is a good chunk of change for building an audio system with really good sound quality. You get what you pay for. As for install, I strongly suggest you do it yourself.
It's a little intimidating at first but overall isn't that bad and only gets easier as you continue doing it yourself.

I wouldnt suggest doing the 6x9's in the hatch, you dont want vocals coming from back there. your best bet is to get a component set for the front doors and 6.5's for the back doors. Then amp them with around 50rms each(or more) and they will sound great, so the cash you would spend on cutting up your hatch could go into a good 4 channel, it will sound much better. I vote Pioneer for deckage........the more money you spend on a deck the more features you get, look for 5 volt preouts, pioneer has a nice one with full color display and 5v preouts for 325.

check out www.onlinecarstereo.com
pioneer deck-$325
JL comps-$125-300ish
lots of cheap amps depending on the power you want.(1600 watts for $230)
Alpine 4 channel-$140(i think)

options are endless man, you need to be more specific with what you want for sound......and how much power you want to run.....
TONS of subs........
