Mono block amp or 2 channel amp?
mono for driving subs.............also fyi when a company like crunch says 2000 watts, they're probably lieing. When buying an amp look for the rms power(I belive rms stands for root means square*?*)
the bx1606 is probably the best price to power ratio

crunch is doing a lot better. They are getting a better reputation.
Blazinloud - you realize that Crunch is Made by Maxxsonics - who makes AutoTek, Hifonics, and MB Quart right???

I did not know that no........whats the price on this "2000" watt amp, im skeptical to say the least.........sony makes good stuff too, just nothing car related.
have you seen their lines of subs? its a joke and a half.

How many subs are you wiring? Do you already have the subs? If you do make sure you will be able to wire it properly so that you have an allowable ohm setting. Ex. if you have 3 dvc 2ohm subs you would only be able to wire them 1.34ohms or 3ohms off a mono block which is fine as long as your amp can handle, but most can.
only a couple i know of that do that same power from1 to 4 ohms and thats the JL slash, and PG xenon.
stupid alpine........i dunno about "majority" ALOT of mono's dont do 1 ohm and alot do........its prolly close to 50/50. Only reason I say that is because of all the lower end stuff usually dosent do 1 ohm.
And back in the day i heard the lower the ohm load the lesser the quality of power........is that true? for example someone doing a strictly sq setup will run subs at like 4 or 8 ohms to get "better" sound.........?
